Massage Therapy Can Improve Recovery Following Strokes

Research by the University’s Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience (CCBN) and Department of Biological Sciences found that adult brains may be programmed to respond to stress from their prenatal exposure to stress, and that this exposure further restricts recovery from strokes.  However, stress responses were improved after receiving massage therapy.
