Some are interested in full body relaxation or a day of pampering, while others come to us with specific issues they need help in resolving — from muscle soreness, headaches or fibromyalgia to even a colicky baby.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are offered at KCHA by Paul Janson, LAc. Based on the condition you're seeking help with, needles are placed at specific points in the body to stimulate communication pathways and enhance homeostasis and health. Acupuncture can be used to help ease a wide range of physical conditions, from stress and pain to metabolic, fertility and digestive disorders.

Belly Casting

There are amazing changes in the body during the last weeks of pregnancy, and belly casting allows moms to preserve that experience in three dimensions. The torso is oiled with massage oil, then plaster strips are applied and allowed to dry. After a shower, you can take your cast home to finish as you wish.

Children's Massage

From infants to teenagers, KCHA has massage therapists with special knowledge of how to work with children's bodies. For older children, for example, we can work with relaxation or treating sports injuries. And for the youngest bunch, infant and toddler massage can bring a wealth of benefits from improving colic and digestive problems to easing plagiocephaly.

Chiropractic Services

Chiropractic Care is offered at KCHA by Ryan Reynold DC, CCSP. Dr. Reynolds received his education at the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois. While he specializes in sports medicine and rehabilitation, he is well versed in all aspects of chiropractic care. Colon Therapy

Also known as colonics, colon therapy is a gentle process that uses "gravity flow" to move water in and out of the colon. A certified colon therapist massages the abdomen to assist with cleansing in this simple but effective procedure that can help relieve chronic pain, constipation or other symptoms of toxicity.

Facelift Massage

This delightful treatment is a safe and effective method to treat sagging, aging skin without surgery. Your KCHA skin care therapist is skilled and educated in this unique facial massage, which leaves the skin with a healthy, youthful glow.

Delight in a full hour of pampering with the luxurious Eminence Organics line of skincare products. Spa facials are a popular favorite, but we also offer anti-aging and corrective treatments for conditions like rosacea and acne.

Great Lakes Stone Therapy

A full body massage is included in this treatment, which includes warm stones in the practitioner's hands and placed strategically over your body to stimulate relaxation and natural grounding. All stones have been hand-selected from the shores of the Great Lakes.

Herbal Bodywrap

You'll be wrapped in warm cloth strips that have been soaked in the perfect blend of elements: a strong herbal tea for detoxification, seaweed to mineralize and nurture, or a healing blend of Dr. Christopher's roots and herbs for pain relief. The warmth and healing is sealed with plastic wrap, and your body does the rest while you relax and breathe.

Infant Massage with Instruction

Massage can be a great bonding tool for new parents and babies, not to mention that it's been shown to help with all sorts of ailments from feeding problems to colic. Our 80-minute session includes private instruction for up to two caregivers, written reminders, a video of the instruction session and a sample bottle of oil.

On your first visit, we'll ask that you arrive 30 minutes early to complete paperwork, enjoy a cup of herbal tea, change into a robe and relax in our solarium.

Mud Wrap

Your body is covered in a mineral-rich blend of warm French clay — red or green, depending on your needs. A practitioner will wrap you in a cocoon of warm towels and blankets, followed by time to relax, a shower and soothing lotion application. Wonderful as a luxury treatment and helpful for conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia.

Naturopathic Wellness

A naturopathic doctor is trained as a primary care physician who specializes in natural therapies. These include homeopathy, herbal medicine, nutrition and supplements, hydrotherapy and physical medicine. Naturopaths treat all medical conditions, both independently and complementary to conventional medicine. Dr. Jasmine May is the only naturopath in Southwest Michigan to be trained at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, one of the nation's five federally accredited naturopathic medical schools. She see clients at KCHA on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Pedicure

Classic Pedicure, $45

Refresh and beautify the feet naturally. Feet are soaked, nails clipped and reshaped, cuticles are perfected, and skin is gently exfoliated and moisturized. Meticulous nail prep and polish, if desired.

Raw Earth Spa Pedicure, $60

A super-hydrating, aromatherapeutic pedicure packed with vitamins and minerals to promote beautiful, healthy-looking feet. Begins with a bubbling mineral soak, followed by a warm sugar scrub to gently exfoliate and smooth the skin. Nails clipped and reshaped, cuticles perfected. A moisturizing volcanic clay masque deeply hydrates in preparation for a relaxing foot and calf massage, followed with our Cucumber Heel Therapy to relieve dry, cracked heels. Finished with a meticulous polish of the nails.

Marine Spa Pedicure $60

A luxurious experience! A soothing marine mineral bath to soften skin and reduce inflammation, followed by an uplifting sea salt scrub that gently polishes and conditions the skin. After the scrub, a cooling foot masque with hydrating sea extracts is applied, and is accompanied by a relaxing foot and calf massage. Nails clipped and reshaped, cuticles perfected, a fresh coat of enamel or polish, and a marine hydrating oil finishes the experience, leaving skin soft.

Prenatal Massage

What an amazing gift to give yourself and your baby! As the pregnant body adjusts daily to support a growing child, those changes can lead to physical and emotional tension and strain. By relieving stress in the hips, legs, feet and back, a massage can bring greatly needed relief, lift the spirits and improve the experience of being pregnant. You simply won't want to get off KCHA's special pregnancy table.

Salt Glow or Sugar Scrub

Indulge yourself with a massage of essential oils, healing salts or sugar, and delightful aromas. As toxins are drawn out of the body, your skin is exfoliated and the lymphatic system is stimulated. You won't believe how silky, refreshed and alive you'll feel after doing something so good for you!
